Wishing you health and happiness, and this year’s charities and causes

The words “Merry” and “Happy” will be difficult for many people to use right now. If you can, I hope you’re able to enjoy Christmas and will be able to rest, recharge and do things you love over the festive season.

And I wish you a fulfilling, healthy and happy 2021.

It’s been tough this year for everyone, and even harder for many folk. So this year the social enterprises and charities I’m supporting in December are:

  • Musica CIC, a social enterprise which uses music to boost the quality of life for people living with dementia. On average a person living with dementia in a care home receives just two minutes a day of social interaction. Musica works with caregivers, enabling them to create meaningful and participative music-making activities, which have a positive effect on residents’ wellbeing.
  • Roundabout Homeless Charity, working to end youth homelessness in Sheffield.
  • Together for Mental Wellbeing, which provides individually-tailored support to thousands of people experiencing mental health problems.
  • And Food Works Sheffield, a social enterprise ensuring healthy and sustainable food is accessible everywhere in Sheffield.

They’re exceptional organisations; if you’re looking out for anyone to support they’re worth thinking of.

Through 2020 I’ve appreciated being able to work with (and interview for the radio) fantastic business leaders and social entrepreneurs making positive impacts in the world. It’s been a pleasure and a privilege. My sincere thanks to all.

I hope you have a fine, fruity, fun, relaxing, restful, healthy and happy Christmas and New Year.

All best, Jamie.
