Thrilling figures show strength of UK social enterprises

I was thrilled to read the latest findings in the RBS NatWest SE100 Index, published last week.

The 2000+ social enterprises in the index (the largest survey of turnover, growth, profitability and employment of the UK social enterprise sector) reported a combined total of £934m in profit, much of which is reinvested into furthering social and environmental goals. And they’re creating great jobs too – hundreds of thousands of them.

Pioneers Post magazine (one of my 2016-17 clients) have published an excellent summary of the latest findings on their website – it’s well worth a read.

Do take a look: whether you’re an advocate for social enterprise or a sceptic, the figures might surprise you.
